as the Lord and Savior of men. ... If at some point we do
not concur, it is altogether incorrect to surmise that any
of us is at odds at the fundamental point of commitment.

Today the church continues to make choices about whom we shall ordain and which mission
projects to fund. Further, the church takes stands and makes statements that do not reflect the opinions
and beliefs of all. We make choices and take actions as a united body the church. We acknowledge
that there is ample room for our various points of view within the church, for our baptism in Christ unites
us. We strive to maintain the unity to which Christ calls us.
If we are to have the joy of Christ, if Gods Spirit is to be poured out upon us, then we must
find a way to get along, for all of us to get along.
The answer to Christs prayers will result in the fulfillment of the mission of Christs disciples.
Quite simply, when we are seen as a people who love one another, we will lead the world to believe
that our God is a God of love. When we make a visible demonstration of Gods love, people will then
come to share our experience that we are Gods children and we are loved.
Amen.
