Instead of locating Jesus in a time and place and ministry that is pre-Crucifixion and pre-
Resurrection, let us consider the possibilities that we do not know where Christ is and what Christ is
doing in the midst of our lives.
Let’s consider what could happen if we allow Christ to have some mobility.
Let us reclaim the experience of those earliest Christians who let Christ go before them.  Let us
consider the transforming possibilities of having Christ be a present-future savior.
The environment in which we live is radically different from the days of Jesus.  We know that
our world changes every day.  Sometimes we become overwhelmed by the challenges of the newness.
God, in whom we place our trust, is more than equipped to guide us through a maze of
uncertainty.  God is way ahead of us.
Christ is fully prepared to be our redeemer, our savior, our liberator, if we but look ahead to
see him.  We may be surprised at where we shall find him!
Amen.
